Growing...

"JOY is a living, growing community of Jesus' followers spreading His love."

Life change happens best in small groups. Group activities are one way to grow closer with people who have similar interests, skills, and pursuits. As we function within a group, we also grow closer to God and become more intuned to His desires for us and what we can do for our church and community.

Adult Bible Discovery and Children's Sunday School classes are held on Sunday mornings starting at 9:15am.

Children's Church is a wonderful way for your child to worship through appropriate age-related materials. This is held during the Sunday morning Worship service which begins at 10:30am. Children learn about the Bible and sing songs, make crafts, or play games related to the day's topic. Children in grades 1 - 5 are welcome to attend.



Growing Bibles
How can you grow a Bible? By passing it on and on, from one person to another, like seeds spread in a field.

JOY is making an effort to put Bibles in the hands of people to share the joy of God's Word with them. And, as they read these Bibles and grow in their relationship with God and His Son, Jesus, we hope and pray they eventually pass their copies to others they know or meet - people like friends, coworkers, neighbors, or strangers whose lives may be hurting, lonely, or meaningless.

JOY has Bibles available on Sundays and at its office location at 11906 E. Sam Houston Parkway. If we run out, we'll get more as long as we are able to. Our plans are to have a few Bibles at every outreach event we do for the community. JOY members can help by donating Bibles or $3.00 to buy a new one.

Discover JOY is a class for people interested in learning more about JOY and how to become members of the church. The class is cyclical and takes place on Sunday mornings at 9:15am. Pastor John leads this adult group and would love for you to attend.

JOY Groups are held at host families' homes. Their purpose is to help each person grow in faith in a nurturing home environment. Call the church office at 281-458-3231 to find a neighborhood group near you.
